Knowing your rating / level will help you find the perfect place to start playing at The Dinkery. Whether you are a beginner 2.5 or a seasoned 4.0 veteran, there is a place for everyone.

The Skill levels are going to be slightly different every where you go – Listed in the picture below is are some guidelines to help give you a better understanding of what it takes to rise in the ranks.

There are athletes that come from other sports that have attributes and skills that may break this system. Often times high school and college athletes, no matter what sport, come in as higher than a true beginner.

OPEN PLAY

Looking for a fun and relaxed way to enjoy the game of pickleball and meet new people? Our open play sessions are the perfect solution. Open play is all about having fun and playing with different people in a recreational setting. It’s a great way to learn from other players and develop new skills while enjoying the game you love. Our experienced instructors are always on hand to offer guidance and support, and we welcome players of all levels to join us. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, you’ll find a welcoming and inclusive community. So come on down, bring your paddle, and join the fun with our open play pickleball sessions!

CLINICS

We encourage all beginner members to start with our Intro to Pickleball class. This fun, no-pressure class will help you feel comfortable on the court. You’ll learn rules and scoring, as well as basic skills and strategies. After class, your instructor will suggest other pickleball programs to try and ways to stay involved.

Raise your pickle IQ with private instruction. Private instruction is the perfect place to hone in on specific skills in a safe environment designed to improve your play. Learn different Pickleball drills that can be used outside the lesson with a partner or opponent. Apply those skills in drills and play immediately. We have a team of certified professionals ready to help you take your game to the next level.

COMPETE IN LEAGUES AND TOURNAMENTS

LEAGUES

(Spring, Summer, Fall)

The Dinkery Pickleball League has 3 different divisions to compete in.

Social League (5.0-6.5 combo)

Champions League (7.0-8.5 combo)

Pro League (9.0-11.0 combo)

Combo is combined rating of the 2 players on court at any time.

EXAMPLE — 3.0 + 2.5 = 5.5 Combo

ALL PLAYERS must know the rules, scoring and act with sportsmanship.

Faq questions

Q. How long do events run for?

A. When hosting pickleball social events, we recommend 3 hours to allow for instructional time as well as sufficient rotations for play. When adding pickleball to a larger event, longer court times will provide a better experience for play.

Q. Will we need to bring anything for our players?

A. No! We will have paddles and balls for all players.

Q. Does everybody need to know how to play?

A. No! At your request, we provide a brief instructional on play and rules to get all players up to speed.
